notarial marital status certificate

Hi guys,

If my fiancee is single and never marry b4, does she need to have notarial marital status certificate. or some sort of proof to show that she never marry before.

YES, she will need it as odd as that sounds. She can get it at the city notary when she gets the statement that she is not and never has been a criminal.

I would only add that you don't expect USCIS to accept anything on good faith. If you can get something certified, it carries much more weight. Whether or not it was the case, my SO and I expected them to be suspicious of whatever they sent. She was well-prepared for the interview, and it was a breeze.

I have been getting ready to do the same. At Ying's "hukou" they just want written statement from her that she is single, they will confirm they have no record of marriage - then it is off to the notorial office to get all the translations and official stamps

 

China thrives on bureaus, paper, stamps, etc. Collect what is needed - you will have no problem.
