For me, just knowing the general time-frame and a little bit of recent history via the occasional timeline is sufficient. There are a million unforseen roadblocks out there and just because the 'average time' is a certain number doesn't really mean anything. A person can make some general plans and have some general expectations, but to do any more than that without the interview date in hand is unwise (IMHO). As far as which day I prefer the interview, I'd say Monday. That way if a blue slip is issued for an easy to correct reason it is possible to still get the visa in the same week. For those of us whose fiancee's live 2,000 miles from GUZ that is important. However, since we have no control over the date we will just play the hand dealt; there's really no other choice that I can see. So, my fiancee` will be there in Wednesday the 23rd of March : ) Link to comment
