LouRose
Li Zhuang went to pick up the notarized marriage certificate today, and we had given them a copy of my passport to translate that horrific Chinese version of my name back into English. What they came up with was <family name><given name><middle name>. This is obviously not my real name, but does it matter? I think we are getting it fixed, but how important is this? Will the embassy people be really picky about the order of my names or what?thanks*~Louisa~* Link to comment
MarkLuvsShuPing
Hmmmm, that's a good question. It shouldn't matter, but it is an official document. Does it show your last name and say it's your family name? Or is there a comma after your last name, indicating that it's last? Probably not, but I thought I'd ask. If not, I'd bet you'll have to get a proper one because it is official. Link to comment
ed and ying
I think as long as the names are correct, the order will not matter. The confusion with name order is common. I fly many times in China, using various versions of my name with no problem. Link to comment
