I called D.O.S. and they said my fiances P-3 was sent on May 26th. She lives in Guangzhou (so its local mail), and has yet to receive it. It is now June 3rd...should I worry or wait a little longer? I doubled checked and the Consulate does have the correct address.

Did you e-mailed the Consulate to check on the mailing address? You may want to check with the local post office, should not take so long. I wonder if it will be appropriate in a case like this to download the forms and send them to the consulate knowing that a P3 had been sent and not receiving it????

You may want to arrange your finacee to pick up the P3 personally if possible, since it is so close.

How can I arrange for her to pick up the P-3...my understanding is they will not allow anyone into the building without an appointment, and its virtually impossible to get an answer by phone!

I read from several people in the past mentioning picking up P3 and P4 from the consulate. You don't need a pass. If they reply your email and OK you to pick it up at certain time, just print it out and show it to the guard. It may take up to 2 weeks to get the P3 or P4, since it may be still in the consulate although they said it's mailed, or it might be lost somehow.

 

Hope it still works.
