Time frame requirement for entering us after interview?

Hi guys,

 

I've heard after the interview there is a 90 day time frame for when you must enter the States for your wife's visa to be valid. I may need to stay in China until about February. We haven't had our interview yet but I'm worried she may need to go before we are ready. Are there any ways around this? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks so much.

It's six months, or after the (six month) expiration of her medical.

 

You can delay the interview as long as you need. They toss the application after one year of inactivity, but even that can be extended if needed.

Thanks a lot Randy! That is a relief. I didn't want my wife going to the states without me if I had to stay in China! What a nightmare that would be.
