Arizona Senator John McCain dies at 81

Serving in the Senate since 1987, John McCain came from a family of public service. His father and grandfather, were both four-star Navy admirals. McCain himself entered the U.S. Naval Academy in 1954 and served in the Navy until 1981. During his service, he spent six years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
