Muscley_Love
Any idea how long the processing time for the i-130 is supposed to be? I submitted it to Guangzhou on August 17. Filled out the form where they are supposed to email or contact me but I haven't heard back yet. It's been 12 days and it's going to be two weeks by Thursday. Link to comment

Randy W
Direct Consular Filing typically is 2 - 4 months. That is to interview, correct? We've seen total times as short as 1 month, with the response from USCIS coming very quickly - watch for it! According to the USCIS website, it takes on average less than 1 month to process I-130 petitions in Guangzhou. See: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/ptIntlIntro.do We filed our petition in Beijing nearly 3 weeks ago, but we haven't heard anything yet either. The website says it take on average 1.4 weeks to process in Beijing. By the way, Muscley_Love, did the UCSIC take your G-1145 form? They didn't take ours, they said it's not necessary. Would they inform us by email once the petition is approved? (I have seen people on the forum saying they have received "letter in the mail". I'm a little confused about what to expect.) Muscley_Love
I just wanted to follow up and say, I waited 3 weeks for the email to say that the documents were all accepted. = ) Thanks everybody for your responses! To anybody checking these pages later, keep in mind that its normal to wait 3 weeks, and it might take even longer (like some people suggested!) Link to comment

I filed with Guangzhou, and they took my G-1145. My spouse and I were notified through e=mail. If you haven't been notified yet, like I was when I posted here, keep on chuggin'. It'll come...
