What do the abbreviations mean?

Since I had started reading in the forums I have noticed a lot of Abbreviated words. What do these mean? There isn't an Appendix to look all these words up to figure out what you guys are talking about. How about telling me what all the "buzz words" are. thanks in advance. Examples are:

 

EMS, DOS, GZIV... ect

EMS---Emergency Medical Service (just kidding-Express Mail Service)

DOS----Dead on Sunday (just kidding----Department of State)

GZIV---Gregorian Zone, 4th BC (just kidding--Guanngzhou 4 unit)

GZIV = Guangzhou Immigrant Visa unit.

GG= Brother = Boyfriend= fiance

MM=sister = girlfriend = fiancee
