Is this China’s worst Olympic uniform ever? Internet users mock ‘stir-fried tomatoes and scrambled egg’ ensemble

Male athletes will wear a red jacket with white trousers and white shoes, while female athletes will wear yellow jackets with a white skirt and white shoes.

Similar style uniforms were used by China’s team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and were created by the same designer Ye Chaoying.

Ye was quoted as saying that he decided to keep using red in his latest design because the colour is often used during festive occasions in Chinese culture.

The design is also intended to make the athletes look like they are being covered by China’s flag, which has five yellow stars on a red background, as they walk into the Olympic stadium.

Scrambled eggs and tomatoes. I wonder how many times i have seen that stuff on the dinner table. Hundreds, maybe thousands. Doesn't it ever get boring?

The day after landing in China for the first time I was on location on a job site for 6 straight weeks out in the boonies. We ate at the round tables and I was always glad when the tomatoes and eggs or fried cabbage came around. Something I could recognize.

 

I still love both.
