It's not all beauty pageants and qipao modeling for Chinese airline stewardesses. Soon-to-be flight attendants at this vocational school in Chengdu, Sichuan province must undergo rigorous training, learning hand-to-hand combat as well as methods to subdue out-of-control passengers.

I got a kick out of it that in China young girls go to flight attendant preparatory school as part of college-level major with no guarantee

of employment at their own costs.
