Randy W
How did they manage that? Precisely half of a tower block is blown down in China - and the other half is left intact http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/04/08/article-2599817-1CED9B9300000578-637_964x607.jpg Divide: The once grand Xiangyun Building in the city of Shenyang is seen splitting in two. Workers cut through supporting walls inside the building, before explosives were used to ensure only one half of it collapsed into a pile of dust and rubble Split: If you look closely, a large crack can be seen in the centre of the building ahead the demolition. Workers manually divided it into two before the collapse in order to lessen the risk to nearby roads and tightly-packed surrounding buildings Plans: The standing half of the building remains perfectly in tact. Residents of Shenyang won't be able to enjoy this view for long however, as this remaining half will also be demolished later in the week Link to comment
