Oldfriend
Ying informed me last night that one of our employees has passed away two days ago.She died from H7N9.Although I just finished reading Randy's post about this very subject, Ying told me thatthe local Fuzhou government is "playing down" the dangers and prevalence of bird flu.Again. So grateful to be home. Take care Randy. Link to comment
Guest ExChinaExpat
The World Health Organization has been complimenting China on its handling of the recent bird-flu crisis. At the same time, Beijing continues to play down anything that has the potential to make China look bad. Lately, you will not see live birds of any kind being sold on the streets. In fact, it's very difficult to find chicken or poultry products in any store. http://www.who.int/csr/don/en/index.html Edited April 18, 2013 by JiangsuExpat (see edit history) Link to comment
Randy W
Thanks, Steve. They've pretty well learned that a little bit of honesty can go a long way to take off a lot of the scrutiny. But the chicken market is in such turmoil now that it's best to stay away from it for now. Link to comment
