griz326
LaoPo 'n I are going to Ireland & the UK for Christmas. We will stay in Clontarf Castle Christmas eve and day. Getting two visas on short notice was a pain, but we got 'em! It promises to be very expensive...and I hope a dandy good time. 1 Link to comment
dnoblett
I have visited Ireland a few years ago, truly a great place to vacation, made a few friends there, and intend to visit there again with my wife, though it wont be a pain for visas due to she now being a citizen. Have a great trip! Link to comment

griz326
Lao po wants to see my Grandma's farm on the river Moy.I haven't seen it in 20 years. Even in Ballina, I can't imagine riverfront property as a dirt farm. I've overruled her. We are going to the ring of Kerry My daughter is more interested in Germany. She wants to drive on the autobahn. Link to comment
Urkidding
Nice trip. I traveled down the autobahn before and also down the Rhine river, traveled through the heart of Europe on a train and lived in Greece on the Aegean sea for several weeks. Ate some of the finest seafood too! Anyone who's been to China and has never been to Europe needs to go once in their lifetime. It's a whole different world over there. I wish I was going. Maybe next year. Enjoy your trip! Link to comment
Mick
Ireland is also the homeland of my family. It is really a fascinating, magical sort of place. Winter can be a bit rough, however. I once spent most of January over there. My feet got cold walking from the terminal to the car and I don't think they thawed out until I was back in Miami for two days. Link to comment
