Waiting for P3 ... but about to change my address...

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

We filed the I-130 Petition via DCF in Beijing on May 10th, received approval on June 18th, but was not notified until emailing Beijing on June 25th. Now we are waiting for GUZ to send P3 with Case Number.

We are moving from NE China to Dongguan on July 7th and realize that we may miss the arrival of the P3 package.

The questions I posed to everyone is:

1. should we wait to move from the address that GUZ currently has on file, until P3 arrives (probably the safest)?

2. Is there a way to contact GUZ, withought a Case Number, so I can provide them with a Change of Address? I asked Beijing and they simply stated "One week later, please contact Immigrant visa section of U.S. consulate Guangzhou at http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/contactiv.html". I asked them if there was a way to could contact them without a case number, but no reply.

Any insite or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Simply Email the consulate regarding case and inform them of new address, provide them with name and DOB of petitioner and beneficiary so that they can locate the case.

If you email them and they indicate that the packet has been mailed, even if the packet is lost, you can simply download the forms and mail them to the consulate.
