The Rochester LPGA

This past week was the annual Wegman's LPGA Championship, this is a Lady's golfing event held every year at Locust Hill Country Club, one of Rochester's Championship courses, Rochester is also home to several Golf courses, another Major course in Rochester is Oak Hill, host to several PGA championships such the Masters Tournament, and The Ryder Cup.

Anyway the event always has parking located at my work place, and run spectators to and from the course by shuttle buses, over the years they have evolved from school buses, to transit buses, this year a couple motor coach companies handled this, a nice move and more than likely very much welcomed by the spectators, coming off the hot course, and riding back to their cars in an air conditioned bus must be very nice.

 

This year's winner is a first, past years the championship has been dominated by South Koreans, this year the tournament was won by a nice 22 year old lady from Mainland China Shanshan Feng, in fact she the first from China to win a major, male or female.
