david_dawei
If one were trying to work on a work visa, I assume there is more paperwork than normal. But for our spouses to work on a family based visa, is there really anything extra needed? Meaning, if a company hired a USC vs a family based greencard holder, is there really anything different from an office paperwork point of view which has to be done? Link to comment
dnoblett
Nothing different at all, employers just need two things:Evidence of eligibility to work. Green-card, passport with I-551 notification.SSNOther combinations:SSN showing the restriction (K-1 SSN) would need EAD, Green-card, or passport with I-551 notation.SSN without restriction notation, simply a government issued photo ID such as a Driver's License, US Passport, naturalization cert, or green-cardhttp://www.uscis.gov...es/form/i-9.pdf Edited April 11, 2012 by dnoblett (see edit history) Link to comment
chilton747
Nothing different that I saw other than needing the green card. I did all the paperwork for Haihua's most recent job. Link to comment
