knloregon
She's famous now in China, and more than cute. Girl's got spunk. An attribute not only not rewarded historically in China but usually suppressed. Her acceptance on the national stage moves China (incrementally) closer to cultural acceptance of the individual. honeybun
that was very cute! the guy said it wasn't because she sang badly but that it was driving him "feng1" ("crazy", but not necessarily in a bad way) one of the jokes was they asked what her mom & dad's reaction was when they saw her song & performance, and she said they didn't have anything to say about it. then the lady judge asked why the girl liked this song as it had no lyrics. the girl was like "what?! it has lyrics!" then she said "well, they're a lil' messy..."
