david_dawei Posted August 12, 2011 Report Share Posted August 12, 2011 Before applying for a K-1 of CR you have to wait 2 years between applications.That is only partially true... and ONLY FOR K-# applications: If one has filed 2 or more K-1 visas anytime in the past OR had a K-1 approved within 2 years of filing another K-1, they must apply for a waiver. The simple workaround is to marry and file as married. In this situation, I would recommend about 3 visits and marry on the 3rd visit and hopefully that is about a year after the divorce is final. Give some time in-between the filings and show commitment. Link to comment
