Robert S.
I thought only tax forms showing above poverty line was enough to sponsor someone, but now I'm being told the lawyer wants my pay stubs for the last six months, but I had a period of unemployment from February thru June. Is the lawyer wrong, or is this also a requirement? Link to comment

Randy W
We can tell you what the forms say, but we can't tell you what your lawyer is thinking. Best to work with him on any issues you have - he may have a strategy in mind. One thing about the I-864 is that "enough" is generally not enough. Your lawyer may want to look at your entire picture before deciding the best filing approach. Link to comment
