tonado
Don't be shock at airports.--------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.cnn.com/2010/TRAVEL/10/28/airline.security.pat.down/index.html?hpt=T1 Airline passengers can expect to see as well as feel new pat-down procedures at U.S. airports over the coming weeks in an effort to provide another layer of security for travelers, the Transportation Security Administration said Thursday. "Pat-downs are one important tool to help TSA detect hidden and dangerous items such as explosives," according to a TSA statement sent to CNN. tsap seui
Bring it on....here baby, jes you pat this rat cheer. I'm okay with it, no problem at all. Heck, I've been detained an hour and a half by Customs at POE (and no, my underwired bra wasn't the reason, there was no reason), this will be nothing. Shucks, I wouldn't care if they made us strip and bend over, just to get on a plane. It's America baby, they're's bad guys out there, I tells ya. tsap seui

Reddragon75
Pretty soon they will ask people for a blood sample to get through security. Just disguise yourself as cargo and you won't have to worry about security.

knloregon
Personally, I don't give a flyin' F if I get nude scanned, but daughters 13 & 15 ..... seems fundamentally wrong, an early, and unnecessary assault on their innocence (and yeah, I'm not a Papa with his head in the sand----the most important things in their lives are still sports, and they don't have missing time in their days...) So any others here see a totally over the top invasion of privacy?? ... (and btw, the pilots hate it----(including my best friend) seems they have a much greater % of dying if the bomb comes on board in the underwear (several hundred flight boardings s a year)--- (like they can't figure out to put the bomb IN the body cavity. Pilots know full well the true weak link in the system is air freight----and the handlers making near minimum wage who are happy (and its very well documented) to place a package in a cargo hold for a 'fee'.. warpedbored
I agree with Don. It's just more feel good BS to make us think they are actually doing something to make us safer.
shenzhen
I agree with Don and Carl that it is more BS (kinda of like being told you can't sit on the steps of a Federal Courthouse because it is "private property"). What I like to know is what are Americans going to do about it? Just business as usual I guess:http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2010-11-22-scanner-lobby_N.htmhttp://www.csmonitor.com/Business/2010/1119/TSA-body-scanners-safety-upgrade-or-stimulus-boondoggle Edited November 26, 2010 by shenzhen (see edit history)
