david_dawei
yes... I am here in china and it seems that any excuse to go out and drink will suffice... if a bottle of vodka from russia were to fly overhead we would give it the customary, gan bei. Since this UFO is quite westernly into inner mongolia, I cannot speak for how those natives react. I can tell you I have had Mongolian Jiu, which is horse milk alcohol... maybe a few rounds of that are called for now. Link to comment
knloregon
Perhaps we should be asking: What exactly is the link between these Aliens in inner Mongolia, and the crash of the Henan Air flight in August ? After all, this was the first fatal airline accident in China in nearly six years! Coincidence? I don't think so........... Hey David, while you're up, can you get that bottle of Jiu on the table over there?? Link to comment
david_dawei
Hey David, while you're up, can you get that bottle of Jiu on the table over there??Interesting you ask that since I found myself licking my lips since posting this... It's quite tame by chinese standards and different enough to give it a nod of approval; after all, how often are you going to drink such a mixture. I don't think it's common enough in the 'table' sense. In fact, I am curious how this jiu shows up in Dong Bei area where alcohol is renowned and reaches 70%. I've got one last day here... I think I'm going to try and find a bottle of horse milk to bring back to the US... if I can find two, maybe I'll mail one to you. Link to comment
knloregon
VERY generous offer David ~! Just make sure the horse milk has all those 'natural' preservatives (what? 140 proof?) .. so it doesn't lose its 'fresh' quality while in transit via China Post ! Link to comment
david_dawei
turns out that someone brought it back from a Mongolian area... so no horse's milk for us Edited October 11, 2010 by david_dawei (see edit history) Link to comment
