In some case yes and in some cases no.

I will add a few points.

 

Income, They look at the big picture, if you are at 125% in some cases they may request more, 125% is not a hard and fast line, some cases where sponsor has been out of work for some time and only just started a job that makes enough, may not be enough.

 

Visits, In my case I visited China 3 times, once before meeting my wife, once to meet her in person, and then for visa interview "Spring Festival" So in actuality twice for my wife.

 

CCP, I if were a member, then expose this to them DO NOT attempt to hide this. Getting caught in a LIE is far worse that dealing with a blue for Administrative Processing, I have yet to see an outright denial for CCP membership. In fact have seen a few get pink even when telling them abut this.
