I-130/I-485

I was reading the instructions to the I-130 rev. 06/05/02 and there is a note that says the I-485 can be filed concurrently with the I-130.

This "note" was not in the I-130 instructions rev. 10/13/98.

Does this mean that a K3 filer can file both forms at the same time with their perspective CIS district office? If so, that sure would save alot of time. I wish I had known this.

I didnt file the I-485 with my I-130. My wife is coming in on the K3, Can i go ahead and file the I-485 now?

yes, I was working on my step-daughter's I-130 when I noticed that in the instructions. I believe I will file both of them at the same time for her and see what happens.

I mailed my wife's I-485 to the wrong office. VSC sent it back. I re-mailed it to the local CIS office in Arlington, VA. My bust!.... ..."live & learn!"
