jdogg
We brought tickets for my in-laws who have their B-2 visa and are coming over for a 4-month visit this summer. Their POE is San Francisco. Anyone with any recent experience on how long of a stay does SF POE usually grant? How to ensure the in-laws get at least 6 months? Since the in-laws don't speak a lick of English, any suggestion or advice on ensuring a smooth POE experience would be appreciated. Thanks, jdogg Link to comment
dnoblett
They should show return ticket information noting return date, the POE will set the length of stay based on the return date noted on the ticket. Link to comment
warpedbored
SFO will have translators on hand should the parents need. As Dan noted they will base the length of visit on the return ticket dates. If they are thinking of extending the stay beyond their return ticket dates It may be a good idea to provide them with information showing the return dates may be changed. Probably a letter from you explaining how long you might extend the stay and why would suffice. Link to comment
jdogg
As always, thanks for your advice. I will let the in-laws know to ask for a translator if needed and have the return ticket/information handy. Link to comment
