Peter
I am going to apply B-2 Visitor Visa for my mother-in-law, is my wife's birth certificate required to verify our relationship? The problem is that my wife couldn't find her birth certificate, and we don't know how long it is going to take to get a new one. We don't want this to hold up her visa process, I am wondering if the VO will deny her visa b/c she doens't have my wife's birth certificate. Any comment is appreciated. Link to comment
dnoblett
You don't apply for it, your mother-in-law applies for this visa, there is no petition being sent to USCIS, it is not an immigrant visa. There is a topic pinned at the top of this forum. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8469 This topic shows "Notarial Cert of Relationship" Wife's household book should show relationship. Peter
I know what you mean with the application process. My mother-in-law already submit the application to the US consulate. The thing is my wife has her own house hold book separate from her parents, I don't know if her house hold book indicates their relationship or not. What other evidence can she use for "Notary Certificate of Relationship"? Link to comment
