ShaQuaNew
What is my grandson doing in Jiangxi??? He is supposed to be in Dalian! I love the little boy! He will have something to remember. What lush photos. I've said before I love your level point of view. How many MP has your camera got? What brand is it? Believe it or not, all these were taken with an old Sony Cybershot, 3.2 MegaPixels. Next on my list is to get a nice camera like RandyW. :-) Link to comment

Yes Jesse, great images. You have a real eye for a great shot.I think as a kid he must have spent a lot of time staring at a collection of Life magazines in order to absorb the all-encompassing way of looking at things he seems to have. Very good photos, Jesse. Link to comment
Robert S.
Well, the camera is doing a good job there, 3.2 must be enough. Sony should hire you to show what it can do. When you have a chance it would be nice to know exactly where that mountain is. That photo of old, old lady with the ox was unbelievable! Edited January 2, 2010 by Robert S. ShaQuaNew
It's a very rare site for the people of these villages to see people walking through. Still, now matter where we went, everyone was kind and helpful This woman is filling our bottle with some fresh tea. http://i50.tinypic.com/n1uyvo.jpg There is no way to know for sure just how old this stonework is, but as you can see, it's very detailed and well done... http://i45.tinypic.com/2rf60e0.jpg Finally on the downside of the mountain road, we come around the bend and see this snake. Have you ever seen a Chinese woman freak out, when she's hot, tired, and hungry? Fortunately, got it on video too! http://i50.tinypic.com/2j150tx.jpg The one-room school houses are alive and well here. These children are on their way home for lunch. I just keep wondering, just how do they walk all the way home, and then back to school in the same day? http://i45.tinypic.com/e5fl38.jpg Link to comment

I've always been a bit of a photography geek since a very young boy. I'm having a hard time finding the exact location on a map as the village is so small it doesn't even appear. However, if you can find a map, first locate Huangshan Mountain in Anhui province. From there, look southwest, from where you would travel about 3-hours by car. We hired a driver to take us there. It's in the northern region of Jiangxi province, and south of Yellow Mountain in Anhui province. When my wife wakes up, I'll see if she can find a link that has it on a map. Locate the city Nanchang in Jiangxi, and I think it's around that area near those lakes. Link to comment
