vpr
Got a letter today, it says: Approval Notice of Relative Immigrant Visa Petition The visa petition you filed has been approved. The beneficiary for whom you filed has been given the appropriate classification. Note the approval gives no assurance that the beneficiary will automatically be found eligible for visa issuance, admission to the United States ir adjustment of lawful permanent resident status. Whether the beneficiary gets a visa is decided only when an application is made to a consular officer; whether the beneficiary is admitted or adjusts status in the United States is decided only when an application is made to an immigration officer. 1. Your petition to classify the beneficiary as an immediate relative of a United States citizen has been forwarded to the United States consulate in . This completes all action by this service on the petition. The United Sates consulate which is part of the Department of State, will contact the beneficiary and give instructions about getting a visa. Questions about getting a visa should be made to the United Sates Consul. Is this what people refer to as "P2" or is this something else? What should we do next, just wait for them to contact her? Is there something we can do until that time? Thanks, vpr Link to comment
dnoblett
Yes "P2" or more commonly "NOA-2" Just means USCIS is done with the petition and will be sending it on to NVC. The next thing that will happen is NVC will contact petitioner. Start with the Electronic Processing thread at the top of this forum. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37703 It will be a few weeks before NVC will start handling the petition. If you are DCF, then NVC wont be involved, and the next thing will be P-3 sent out by Guangzhou. dnoblett
Also, I would recommend looking through Kyle's threads, they recently completed and got approved on a DCF processed spousal visa. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...p;hl=&st=25 Link to comment
