A vice consul from the U.S. Embassy will be available to meet with U.S. citizens between 09:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in the lobby of the Shandong Hotel (¼ÃÄÏÊÐɽ¶«´óÏÃ). The hotel is located at No. 2-1 Ma'anshan Road, Jinan (¼ÃÄÏÊÐÂí°°É½Â·2-1ºÅ£©. The hotel¡¯s telephone number is (0531) 8295-8888. The vice consul will be available in the lobby of the hotel.

 

The vice consul will be available to assist American citizens by performing notary services, adding passport pages, accepting passport applications, providing registration information, and answering other questions related to Embassy services.

 

If you wish to have any services performed, including notary services, passport renewals, or additional pages added to your passport, you MUST email us the following information by 5 pm on Friday, November 20, 2009.

 

(1) name (as it appears in the passport);

 

(2) date of birth;

 

(3) gender;

 

(4) place of birth;

 

(5) social security number;

 

(6) permanent address;

 

(7) home and/or business telephone;

 

(8) passport number;

 

(9) passport issuance and expiration date and its place of issuance.

That's true for you guys who are doing your visa processes Stateside. If you're living in China though, you pretty much have to suck it up and pay the 30 bucks, which is the primary reason I post these, for the DCF'ers

I wonder how they justify $30 to notarize a document when in even the most expensive state back home it's only $5.

Back in the states, there's more than one place to get something notarized. They have a corner on the market.

 

True. I think the technical term for that kind of activity is price gouging.

 

And then, apart from being a rip off, the morons never work. They only serve the public 5 and 1/2 hours a day, four days a week. Then on the fifth day they only work 3 and 1/2 hours.

 

Obama comes to China, the freaking Consulate closes for three days.
