lostinblue
I had asked for a tax transcript and what I received was a record of account from the IRS. I never even knew there was such a thing. It is 9 pages long and has an IRS heading.Any one know if I can use this instead of the transcript when dealing with GUZ for my stepson's application. dnoblett
I ordered transcripts for our removal of conditions a few months ago, that is precisely what ours said, "Record of account" I had the IRS fax them to me, and the cover page says "Transcript" You are fine, it should show taxable income, SSN etc. Here is what one of ours looked like: Edited November 14, 2009 by dnoblett (see edit history) Link to comment

Now the that I am looking at them side by side They seem to have the same information. This also has user short form request Link to comment

When interviewing for K-1 Visa and filing AOS I ordered simple transcripts and what the IRS sent me were plain ordinary printouts nothing fancy the consulate accepted them and USCIS had no problems either when I sent them to them attached to AOS. These transcripts will be fine. Here is what FAX cover letter looked like. The IRS considers "Record of Account" to be a transcript. Link to comment
