Sorry for the English, on my work computer.Pinyin subtitles? There are probably some on youtube, but I doubt there are many anywhere. It would be like seeing training wheels on a ten-speed. You can get DVDs with hundreds of songs with hanzi (jianti) subtitles. I got a free one when I bought a DVD player a few years ago (I believe it was at a GuoMei). My wife and I put it in and sing sometimes, probably to the dismay of the neighbors... If you need more time to study and understand the lyrics then just look them up online. Link to comment

Sorry for the English, on my work computer. There are some on youtube. I learned Xiao Wei from a ktv video on youtube for my wife. (Her family made me sing it 10 times at our wedding. Probably for comedic value more than anything else) Link to comment
Kyle
Unfortunately youtube has been blocked in China for quite some time (in our area - perhaps nationwide). You can tunnel to get there though. http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TECH/ptech/03/...hina/index.htmlhttp://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/25/technolo.../25youtube.html http://www.witopia.net Edited October 22, 2009 by KJJ (see edit history) Link to comment
carl.hops
Thanks everyone, I guess I'll have to stick with youtube. I have witopia and hotspot shield. I use both when one isn't working so well. :-) Link to comment
Kyle
There are a lot of related videos that also have pinyin subs. http://fashion4us.com/music-video-play.action?id=288398 Also many related to other vids/subs on youtube Actually there is a ton of stuff. I simply did a google search with "subtitles pinyin music videos" and I found several results. Challenge yourself with some of Jay's stuff. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_quer..._type=&aq=f For the sake of practicing your ktv skills - youtube should be able to provide you with more than enough material. I'm certain that any mainstream popular songs in China will be on youtube. You may have to ask your girlfriend for some ideas (titles in pinyin) if you're unable, at this point, to do it on your own. Good luck! Link to comment
