Got this in an email of enterprising ideas. Do you think I could use it to get a free trip to China?

"Like to travel? Here's a way to get paid for it!

 

There is a market for people who desire a tag-along when they

travel. At least that is what entrepreneur named Brad is hoping.

Having recently started a business called Travel Buddy, His

objective is simple: to provide companionship for traveling

people- most likely single or widowed retirees in exchange for

having all of his expenses paid for, including transportation,

lodging (separate rooms), dining expenses and expenses for any

events attended.

 

From talking with people, he got the impression that people,

especially retirees, are wary of traveling alone, and that they

would travel to more places if they had somebody to go with. He

quickly points out that he is not there to provide any type of

adult services, nor does he have the qualifications to perform any

medical assistance . He is just there for the ride with the

guarantee that he will be a good, courteous, considerate

companion.

 

Realizing that his target niche must have some disposable income,

he charges $100 per day for up to six hours of companionship, or

$200 per day for up to twelve hours of companionship. As far as

coming across any unsavory characters through his service, he

isn't worried about that. He uses a telephone interview where he

I hope "Brad" comes with good references.

I would hate to think he would do anything underhanded.

 

Actually, I bet there would be a good business for "Tour Guides" that would cater to small tour groups. Perhaps being a "Tour Guide" even on an individual basis. However, I would have my doubts about a person that has no idea about the country or the language that he is accompanying the person to visit.
