For details, pls read: http://foia.state.gov/masterdocs/09FAM/0942063PN.PDFThank you. It sounds like there isn't much change (from what I understand) with the same P3/P4 system, with a different name. However, read this about speed & Promptness 9 FAM 42.63 PN5 Instruction Package for Immigrant Visa Applicants Sent Promptly When Qualifying Date Reached(TL:VISA-397; 04-17-2002)a. The package of instructions for immigrant visa applicants (formerly known as “Packet 3”) is described below.b. The importance of promptly mailing or otherwise providing the instruction package for immigrant visa applicants to applicants entitled to immigrant status whose priority dates are within the qualifying dates established by the Department cannot be overemphasized. Whenever it is not possible to do so, the post shall submit a report, by memorandum, to the Department outlining the reasons it is unable to do so. At least this outlines the expectations of the Consulates. Can we get a copy of the reports being sent to the INS which are supposed to outline the reasons for all of the delays in processing? ----- Clifford ------ Link to comment
newman
Cliff, One of the visa's that is time constraind is the K-2 follower visa, one year from the parents visa issue date. My wife's daughter received her packet 3 less than a week after our request for processing was made. Link to comment
newman
I might add to my last post that Guangzhou referred to the packet as an instruction packet. Subsequent emails from Guangzhou refer to packet 4 as appointment packet. Link to comment
