For a country with 3-4K years worth of history the 60 year history of the communist party winning of the civil war in China is a drop in the bucket.

 

Got nothing against the Chinese people, but still have a problem with communists.

 

Still, I do wish the people well and I do admire the improvements the Chinese government has taken in many areas.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but they sure have been kicking our asses for the last few years. They should be commended on the improvements they have made the past decade. I truly think their system of government is far superior to ours in this age we are living in. Its a pity that they have not made enough progress in the area of human rights, etc that accompany a socialist communist regime because this has really diluted the superb accomplishments in other areas in the eyes of most throughout the world. I'm sure they feel their power could be diminished or threatened if they loosen up but I truly feel it would enhance it.
