Sam and Fen
If you are flying with in the US all you need is a photo ID. So the passport should be enough. Link to comment
dnoblett
Yes, you can fly anywhere domestically with out restriction, all you need to provide identification (Passport) they are not checking status. If you are concerned with showing status carry I-485 NOA1 letter. Link to comment
Jaseball
We always had the wife's passport, AP letter, marriage certificate, EAD card and I-485 letter stating we were changing status. Now we carry 2 year green card, passport, and marriage certificate still. Link to comment
dnoblett
We always had the wife's passport, AP letter, marriage certificate, EAD card and I-485 letter stating we were changing status. Now we carry 2 year green card, passport, and marriage certificate still. We have flown to Miami and Las Vegas twice since my Yu got her 2 year green-card, each time just had the green-card only, airport security is only concerned with Identity. If flying internationally then we would have passport and a copy of marriage cert to show why green-card and passport have different names. Link to comment
Guest Pommey
If your wife keeps her family name (as Jin did) then no need to carry marriage certificate. Just green card for domestic flights, GC+ passport for International. Link to comment

david_dawei
As a slight aside...and this is my personal feeling... if possible, get a state ID card and use that as your primary ID instead of showing people your passport or GC or EAD... I know the OP is still filing for the GC so does not have it yet... so my comments are general. Link to comment
