bamspeedy
My fiancee asked me how she is supposed to answer this: - I claim to be exempt from ineligibility to receive a visa and exclusion under item____in_____part_____for the following reasons: - From my understanding of that, is that this would be for someone, who would normally be disqualified from receiving a visa, would use this to say why they should not be disqualified. Or in other words, there are some rules that say certain people can't get a visa, and this would be for trying to say why they should make an exception in their case. I told her to leave it blank, because as far as I know there is not anything that would automatically disqualify her from obtaining a visa (no criminal record, etc.). I am not having much luck finding this form on google (to see if there is a 'not applicable' option or something similar), or to find out for certain what would make someone ineligible (so she can be more comfortable knowing there is nothing that would disqualify her automatically, and so she knows she is answering the question/leaving it blank honestly). dnoblett
How about the consulate's website? http://guangzhou-ch.usembassy-china.org.cn..._Form_GNI-2.pdf http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/fo...and_packets.htm Note this form as about Communist Party, if your fiancee was or is a member, they need to answer this question honestly, this simply causes the consulate to do additional processing before issuing a visa. Not answering honestly is Misrepresentation which can come back an bite you at the interview or later on when adjusting status, removing conditions or even applying for citizenship. Link to comment
