Batmaniac
Syringe attacks? Freaky. Scary. Weird. Remember back in the 90s people rumormongering that drug addicts were putting HIV needles in the seats at movies or in the change return on pay phones? Link to comment
weiaijiayou
my goodness, not again... but the part about syringes reminds me of the first time i went to nanyang. my wife kept telling me to be careful about my wallet because thieves would sometimes use a sharp knife to slice through pockets. i'm like, "my wallet? i'm more concerned about being jabbed with the dirty knife..." knloregon
Christopher Bodeen ---the AP reporter who posted this story is an: "Old China Hand" ---------- he is one of very few whom I trust to not be jaded in his reporting about issues inside China---unlikely to favor a western interpretation at the expense of culturally appropriate reporting. Which is to say---he doesn't chose cultural sides---unlike most western (liberal) reporters.. Link to comment
