Buy Yuan Forwards to Profit

The yuan traded at 6.8331 per dollar as of 12:11 p.m. in Shanghai, from 6.8337 late yesterday, and the forwards reflected bets that the yuan will appreciate 0.4 percent to 6.8030 in the coming 12 months. Bennett predicts the currency will climb 3.5 percent to 6.60 by the end of March 2010 and the forwards will rise 9.7 percent to 6.2000.
