Cute song...went to a Christmas party in PRC in '07 and there was this beautiful Mongolian woman playing a very mean fiddle...she was excellent!

I can't view the YouTube link, but I did see her last night on Discovery Channel. It appears they have plans to tour the US, to spread and familiarize Western people with Mongolian culture and dress.

 

By the way, because my wife uses that song for the ring-tone on her cell-phone, it's been stuck with me for months.

 

I've tried to find a translation for the lyrics, but because the song is sung in Mongolian dialect, it's not easy to find. Lan tells me it goes something like:

 

Father, what happens to the moon when the sun comes up?

and, Mama, where is the sun, when the moon comes up?

 

Father then answers her something, followed by mother.
