griz326
I did it years ago as crew on a scientific vessel. Shanghai to Alaska via Japan was just over 3 weeks. I considered jumping ship in Japan and hitching rides as available as crew, but decided against it. I really enjoyed sailing.

I signed on a Mercy Ship as a cook sailing the Caribbean..the ship was small, the water rough and the decks slippery.

samsong
There was a line out of Qingdao to NY via LA but I don't have the specifics on it at the moment. I'll dig it up if anyone is interested.
Zhou Zhou
Hey Griz, do you remember those voyages on LST? I bet you lost your cookies on them.
griz326
Sorry, never did any LST time. Only lost my cookies coming out of the Straits of Wannafucu (juan de fuca) when we were sailing out to meet a typhoon for scientific measurements. Once we were out of the straits I was fine. I did almost 5 years of blue water, so I've got (or at least had) sea legs
