david_dawei
You need to answer the blue slip request; one of two ways:1. You answer directly2. Your co-sponsor writes something This is not uncommon... the last case of this I knew, the lady was grilled quite a bitl If GUZ is not satistfied, they will issue a blue or white. Link to comment
Randy W
One other question, what happens if GZ is still not satisfied with my co-sponsor financials? Do they send me another blue-slip? The three options are another blue slip, a white slip (denial), or - if they ask her to bring her passport to the consulate - a visa. Link to comment
jp2008
For sponsors, do they only look at present income? The reason I ask is because my income wasn't that much, but I had assets (shown in bank statements and owned property). I heard someone say while I was in GZ that the income requisite for the sponsor must satisfy $800-900/month toward support for the benificiary. Is this true? Link to comment
lostinblue
It is best (need)to have at least 125% over the poverty line . This income has to be sustainable. Do a search for income requirements (Pubic charge) on this boards (faq's) Link to comment

Do a search for income requirements (Pubic charge) on this boards (faq's) I see on the income chart for the I-864 that for 125% over poverty line for co-sponsor with family size of 4 is around $27k. I'm guessing this is the same for I-134 for K1. My co-cponsor is well above this so I think I should be fine. Thank you for the advice! Link to comment
Guest Dylan W
Expect three months or more. Hopefully it will be quicker I saw on a similar post a couple months back by "Xu And Wang" that their wait was only about 1 month. Yes, they said my income was not enough, even though I had other assets. Anyway, does 1 month sound hopefull for these types of financial Blue slips? Thanks3 weeks - 3 months I would say... just an educated guess. Link to comment
Yan and Tom
Yan was blue slipped Jan 5. I lawyer emailed them sometime in Feb. The Embassy placed a call to Yan very soon after. They claimed to have sent a "paper" to her, which she did not receive. At the time I thought it was a confirmation of receipt of the info Yan sent back with the blue slip. This Monday 3-22 I sent an email to the embassy asking for an update. Again they immediately called Yan. This time they said they had sent a second paper to her, which she has also not received. I now believe these were new blue slips. They would not tell her on the phone what info they wanted. There has been no change of address and all the mailings prior to her interview were fine. My point is, it might be a good idea to email the embassy every couple weeks to make sure things are progressing. Had I not sent my email we might have waited several months while the embassy was waiting for a response from us. Link to comment

Have you tried calling DOS? Link to comment

I don't have the number or know who I would call at DOS DOS#:12026631225 --> Ext. 1 --> Ext. 0 (might be 0 --> 1 don't remember) Just give them your case# and they should be able to give you your case status. All they asked for on your blue slip was your tax return? So they nailed you with just financial support issue? Why do you think they are mailing you more blue slips? Could be letter for your fiancee to bring passport to GZ for her visa. Link to comment
