Sebastian Posted March 9, 2009 Report Share Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) I wanted to transit into town solo , knowing there were 2 buses that go from the airport (300 and 303) - but it's a late flight coming in from PVG, I was worried about 'when the last bus leaves'. If this info is accurate, looks like the last bus leaves at 1 AM. http://wikitravel.org/en/Chengdu I'm trying the mix hostel for the first night , then go find my wife in the morning. She's been taking care of her grandmother the last two weeks, in chengdu - thankfully she had a major turnaround last thursday, and is recovering well. It's not gonna a surprise, just a big relief, when we see each other again. She wants me, instead, to call an uncle, but I need to get into town, solo, just to retrench my confidence in the internal maps of the city. (I know it sounds strange, but hei - I am strange, is says so here on the label). The Mix hostel is surrounded by tourist places, so I'll be able to have a look early in the morning, then go find my wife. My plan is to sit outside her grandmother's door (which means I'm walking up 5 flights o stairs, each floor owned by one of her uncles) and call her cell. There's nothing 'funny' going on - I just want to surprise her. Fun Fun Fun ! If you have any further info on the bus schedule for 300 or 303, please to share? I think I need a little more time in CHina and more familiarity with the language though. But one day! Let us know how the surprise worked. I know yer new, but did you see about the special discount we get for delivered flowers as CFL members? Sometimes I'll surprise her with a set o those, she likes em. I get stuck with SAW (Situational Awareness) all the time - so if I can map it, I can get there... (which was a side issue, really). Can your wife speak of Bus 300? I found the routes - I am pumped.
