Katrina
Well, we are looking to start the citizenship process late March/early April. We haven't received our ten year green card yet (but looks like we are still within the timeline, so no worries). I think that I read that we can go ahead and apply for citizenship if my husband is ready before we have received the 10 yr. gc. Is this correct? Also, we are planning to move to Houston in July or August (before the semester starts). Would this affect the citizenship process? Thanks in advance! Link to comment

Yes for the first and yes for the second, but only your sanity. It's hot in the summer, with August the worst month for both heat and humidity. You might wait for your new address to put that on the application Link to comment
Katrina
Randy, We live about four hours North of Houston now in Tyler. We are already used to Texas humidity. LOL Where we live now, in the winter time, it will go from 75 degrees down to 30 degrees overnight. And then the next day back into the 70's. We are used to unpredictable (but almost always humid) Texas weather. Link to comment
warpedbored
You can apply for citizenship 3 years - 90 days from the issue date of the original green card. If moving doesn't change the regional service center where you interview it probably wouldn't create too much hassle. Otherwise I would wait. timelines vary depending on the regional office handling your case. Ours took 5 1/2 months. Link to comment
