As Frank said in my question about K-2 fees today: "Also, remember, you're only completing Part I of the DS-230 - just the biographical information - not the full immigrant visa application. " He is absolutely right. When you and I got P4, DS-230 Part II wasn't even mentioned. Why use half of a form? What's the purpose for only half a form??? It's killing me. God bless the U.S. of A. If the entire DS-230 form was really considered, based on my research today, you and I would have to pay an additional $335 fee. That is not the case. Only $100 for the production of the scanable visa in the passport. Don't worry. You're doing just fine as best I can tell. I remember our bantering about who gets the visa first. You win! Just remember me after your success. Let me know your story at GZ before JM goes for her interview. Yep, me and you have been running neck-to-neck in this process, a K1 and a K3! who can ever figure out the system? I've done given up!...lol. I'll be leaving for GZ on the 17th. I think that part II is to be filled out stateside, not really sure. Is it in the brown envelope?, but it is on that form where you can mark yes for a SS number. Again, I say,,,we will see! tywy_99 Posted October 5, 2003 Author Report Share Posted October 5, 2003 The DS-230 Part II is sent in the I-130 beneficiary's P4. Can anyone confirm this? Being that the I-130 is a petition for an immigrant visa, (IR1, CR1), then it stands to reason that holders of this visa can take advantage of the new SSA program for a SSN card. Sounds solid enough but just speculating, or maybe wishful thinking?... Link to comment
