lostness
I'm not sure if this is the best place for this topic, so if it needs to be moved, by all means... Rock on!I'm just fishing for some suggestions for good gifts for Chinese boys...age range: early teens AND college age. I'm trying to keep the prices reasonable (I know that can be broadly defined)...and I don't want to be cheap about it but at the same time I have another 15 or so people to get gifts for (I've got the rest covered-no problem)...Just trying to be realistic is all. I've thrown out a few suggestions such as an NBA jersey, but it wasn't too well received...and now we're both out of good ideas....so I turn to my CFL family! Link to comment
Sebastian
I'm a fan of stuff found in charity resale shops that are 1) made of leather and 2) are at least 40 years old. usually that means leather bags and big wallets, but at least i'm assured it's made in usa. I'm in Houston - my craziest thing so far was an old set of saddlebags. if money was no object, i'd be getting moto razr v8 and v9, unlocked. is many 'copies' in china, is prestigious to have 'the real thing' Edited October 4, 2008 by Darnell (see edit history) Link to comment
jim_julian
I'm really surprised at the reaction you got to NBA jerseys. Was it from the boys? Anyway ... famous American name brand jacket, backpack, gym bag that doesn't have a MiC label on the inside. Link to comment
IllinoisDave
A couple of things we got based on feedback from my mid-teen nephew in China. Currently fashionable sneakers, especially Nikes. Along the lines of what Darnell suggested, he specifically requested a book bag (one of those over-the-shoulder ones) with an "antique" look. Link to comment
