Directv and CCTV9

For the last couple of weeks I have noticed at the bottom of the screen when I watch CCTV9 that said, "as of 08/25/2008 CCTV9 will no longer be broadcasted". So I called Directv and was assured that if I change my "package" I will keep CCTV9. Yesterday I called them to change my package and was told that Directv will no longer carry CCTV9 on any package. What Happened?

Now I am thinking of changing to Dish Network but I was reading all the horror stories people had with Dish. Also was looking into this Kylink TV which comes over the Internet.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the information. I didn't know this topic was posted yesterday. I think I will be moving to Dish now.

Beyond Beijing is usually on channel 9407 (colors).

you can get every chinese channel on the internet for free, then just hook it to your tv if you want, cost $0
