Hi amy and doug , well, I haven't had a chance to update it entirely! hehe. Anyhow, it's not quite exact in theK1 process but from AOS, it's pretty exact hehe. Well Amy , we had mailed our evidence back about 7 weeks ago almost so I hope you can get your EAD and Green card also!! Don't worry too much and keep a look out for your E-MAILS. You know you can get the updates on USCIS from your email right? Well , e-mail me if you have any questions!!!

Good luck Amy, we hope the EAD and green card arrive soon. From the looks like it it doesn't look too far from now. I got an e-mail later today that said

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident. On July 16, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Congratulations, Spacebar! Wow, that was quick!~ Looks like only a week after the EAD card? And no interview. =)

BTW, what happened to your timeline? I mailed the initial evidence yesterday. Hopefully will get the EAD card before end of Aug., in comparison to your timeline? =P

Thanks, spacebar! I just told Doug about your good news. He feels much more comforted now. =)

For some reason, the email thing from USCIS never worked for me. I registered for my I-129F and I-130 last year, and on it i set "email on." But I never received any notification update emails from them. Even this time after adding the I-485 and I-765 in my account and set "email on", I didn't receive an email about the notice of initial evidence. The email address isn't wrong though, because when I tried to change my password, I did receive an email notification. =\

UMMMMMM SO Strange.... Maybe you should make sure that when you are in the USCIS website that E-MAIL notification is turned on just in case. Also , if you are using hotmail, yahoo, gmail, or whatever e-mail make sure that the email CRIS is not put in your spam or junk mail...

I remember when I first received a email from USCIS, it was in my junk mail and I had to put it in my safe senders list. Or else, it would keep going into my junk mail account.

Thanks Randy, I'm so sorry to hear the difficult time the government is giving you. Have you contacted any of your local congressman or anyone wth political strength.... I would think that may help to speeden things... It's really a shame that USCIS can decide the fate of others.... Why the hell would a background check take so long... That's totally outrageous of the government! Those people should provide a better response than Background check. First would be, why does it 2 years to complete a check...............?? iT'S Ridicious of the government to do that....

The 2 years is to our advantage, since she gets a 10 year card.

But, yes, back in March, I wrote the CIS Ombudsman and our Congressman. The outcome was that they would not look into it, since they were supposedly processing those cases that had waited more than 2 months. So now, 3 months later, I'm trying again.

Well , the bad thing is they make you wait so frigging long which I am sure could be stressful but on the bright side, it could turn to a good thing when you do get the 10 year green card!!

Good luck to you Randy and best wishes!

Think green and positive! :) You guys will get it, it's only now a matter of time.
