Is it possible to open a joint account with your SO in a Chinese bank or would they not allow a USC to be on an account in China?

I think that would be pretty compelling as far as proof of relationship. :coolthumb:

No - exchanging money is not necessarily seen as a good thing for the K-1 visa. It can be interpreted as one side being paid by the other (i.e., 'buying' a bride or a visa). Leave the bank accounts for the married people

Is it possible ? Not really.

If the Bank is under the Guidelines of the Central Bank Rules,

like Bank of China, CITIC, China Construction Bank, joint accounts aren't even possible.

YOU can open an account with any bank in China that you like, however.

IT IS POSSIBLE to get a joint account through HSBC, you'll want a premiere account, can be had for as little as 100,000 RMB (with 300RMB/month service charge) or 500,000 RMB (without the service charge).
