Kungpow
I had a computer crash with all of the Info I gathered about the next steps for my wife's immigration. What do I need to do to get her SSN? Can anyone point me to a link please. Also I am moving soon to another State (Louisiana from Illinois). Is there any barbed wire in moving for a job relocation? Randy W
You should be able to file for a replacement card, the same way you got the original (wait a second - where IS the original?). Check ssa.gov If it wasn't a disk crash, you can take the disks to another computer and read them there, with a little bit of PC expertise. Link to comment

K-1 can get SSN shortly after arriving in the USA, K-3 has to wait until they have EAD or Green-card. VJ SSN Guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...om&page=ssn No problems wit relocations IF you do not have AOS pending, If you do have AOS pending, contact USCIS, and get address changed on the pending case, and even if you think it has been change I have read horror stories about people missing AOS interviews at field office for old address, and then having to deal with deportation orders for the NO-Show. So if you have not filed I-485 yet, DON'T, wait until after you settle in new location and then file to adjust status. Link to comment
