Electronic translators

Partially as a result of some great advice the two friends are going make the effort. I was hoping for some suggestions on electronic translators for him and her,thanks for the help-jay

I bought mine at bbkusa.com, it is the bbk am101 model,it works great,and is a good price 179.00....it translates from english to chinese,and visa versa,and it speaks the sentence too...i know my wife never had a hard time understanding the translation. I don't know how well it translates from chinese to english.She used her translator,I will ask my wife tonight what one she has.Hers was a nice one,because she could write on the pad as opposed to typing. the only thing negative about mine is,it seemed when the volume was all the way up,it seemed a bit distorted,but this is me,I played in rock bands all my life,I am now 47,so i think i am a little deaf.
