Two thoughts, if attendence will grow beyond 35:

 

- Pick another date which can accomodate more people

- Pick another place

 

it would be a shame to close off interested people from coming...

Because the area is reserved and paid for, it will take place as planned. If more than 35 register to come, then we will begin at that point to consider an alternative. Because our event ends at an early hour (8:00PM), many are considering continuing at a local venue. The people that have not registered in advance shoudl feel free to meet those that will continue at that place, which is yet to be determined.

 

 

Until that point, no one should consider themselves as registered until they provide:

 

1. First and Last Name of All to Attend

2. A telephone contact number (preferably cell)

3. A contact email address

 

Due to advanced security instituted at Disney since 9/11, the first and last name MUST be provided. This includes all children and infants. I am asking for contact email and address so that I may contact each attendee to confirm, and to individually update about important information.

 

By the way David, the last I heard you WILL NOT be attending because you will be in China. Did something change or are you still undecided? As you can see it's important to make up your mind.

The current count for the Walt Disney Get Together stands at 25. This includes everyone that has contacted me about attending, and or confirmed attendance. This means that we still have room for about five (5) more couples, or ten people. If you have not already done so, please confirm your attendance by providing the first and last names of all those that will be accompanying you.

I plan to take some pictures of the area in the next few days and will add detailed directions and contact information.

 

Remember:

 

1. No bottles or hard liquor. Beer and wine allowed

2. Hard plastic not allowed. If it cracks when you squeeze it, it's hard plastic.

 

We will have ice, coolers, cups and charcoal. Anyone wishing to help out with setting up, feel free to volunteer.

 

It will indeed be a magical day of boating, swimming, cooking, and fellowship.

We have room for more folks, so if you've been on the fence about coming to this get together go ahead and jump off and come on down! We have a great group of folks coming out, and it will surely be a lot of fun.

 

Some of what you can expect:

 

*Great swimming. Bring your bathing suits, there is a great pool, near olympic size.

 

*Beach volleyball. Yes, in the sand, and plenty of room to move. Bring your shoes.

 

*Badminton. A few of our ladies are quite good.

 

*Boats to use on the lake. Paddle around all you like.

 

*Outdoor grills for all to use. Bring or cook something special to share.

 

*Beer, wine, water, and soft drinks.

We went out to Mickey's Retreat today and took some photos of the area. It's fabulous. We hope you agree. There is Tennis, Basketball, two swimming pools, boats, beach volleyball, and a lovely area. We are looking forward to seeing all of you. We still have room, so if you haven't yet made up your mind, we hope you choose to come.

UPDATE

 

 

For food, please and by all means bring whatever you'd like to eat yourselves and share with others. There are ouitdoor grills available, and we will be providing charcoal and lighter. Please bring your coolers, and if you have a large extra ones, bring them along too, with ice of course. Also, bring the beer, wine, or drinks of your choice. No bottles or glass, or hard plastic. We will be providing cups, plates, and knapkins also.

 

Anyone having questions, please feel free to contact us via PM, or email. I've sent out confirmation notices to all (except Bill and ChunYan). Please reply quickly as I must turn in the final list of attendees no later than Wednesday, 10/10.
